News is breaking in Washington that the House of
Representatives WILL be voting before August recess
on the health care reform bill that would:

* Result in the biggest expansion of abortion since
   the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision…

* Force YOU to pay for abortions through your tax
   dollars — something 71% of Americans oppose…

* Implement a cornerstone of FOCA — the Freedom of
   Choice Act — that would lead to a massive,
   taxpayer-subsidized abortion industry bailout…

* Force you and virtually all Americans into health
   plans with mandatory abortion coverage (health
   care reform legislation must explicitly exclude
   abortion in writing or else abortion automatically
   becomes a minimum required benefit.)

It is very important that you — and record numbers
of people — do 2 things RIGHT NOW:

1. E-MAIL your Representative and 2 Senators and
    tell them in no uncertain terms: “Keep abortion
    out of health care! Any health care reform bill
    must include language that explicitly excludes

Didn’t come easy, but I finally managed.  Life Choices now has some videos of our clients on our website.   When ever I watch these I am amazed at how the Lord has used Life Choices to save lives.  Maybe it seems funny that I would find that amazing, after all saving lives is our goal.   Yet, somehow seeing those little babies and knowing what could have happened….wow!  They’re adorable and they have awesome, God-given potential  Someday  “Life Choices’ babies” will grow up and be  famous doctors, a priests or an good mommy or daddy.  Every little life saves changes the history of the world.   Wow, please keep Life Choices in your prayers!  More videos can be found on:  www.lifechoicesonline.org     and www.lifechoicesonline.org/clients/html

Friday June 19th we will celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

This beautiful devotion to the Loving Heart of our Lord is, I believe, essential for those who wish to successfully engage in pro-life work.   Our Lord has promised that those who have devotion to His Sacred Heart and promote such devotion will have, “the power to touch the most hardened hearts.”  Whose hearts are more hardened than those who promote and or perform abortions?  I am thinking of abortionists and politicians primarily! 

Devotional pictures of the Sacred Heart help us to meditate on Our Lord’s awesome love for all of us, for all sinners.   I have uploaded one of the more famous Sacred Heart pictures, but lately I prefer to think of a tiny little Sacred Heart, already clearly beating at 21 days beneath the heart of His Immaculate Mother.  

The Promises of the Sacred Heart

1. I will give them all the graces necessary for their state of life.
2. I will give peace in their families.
3. I will console them in all their troubles.
4. I will be their refuge in life and especially in death.
5. I will abundantly bless all their undertakings.
6. Sinners shall find in my Heart the source and infinite ocean of mercy.
7. Tepid souls shall become fervent.
8. Fervent souls shall rise speedily to great perfection.
9. I will bless those places wherein the image of
My Sacred Heart shall be exposed and venerated.
10. Persons who propagate this devotion shall have their names eternally written in my Heart.
 11. I will give to them the power to touch the most hardened hearts.
12. In the excess of the mercy of my Heart, I promise you that my all powerful love will grant to all those who will receive Communion on the First Fridays, for nine consecutive months, the grace of final repentance: they will not die in my displeasure, nor without receiving the sacraments; and my Heart will be their secure refuge in that last hour.

As I viewed this I was reminded of Mother Teresa’s words:
“How can their be too many children, thats like saying there are too many flowers.” !

Way back when Life Choices was only a thought we began with a Novena. (9 days of praying together) asking God to bless our work, asking Our Lady to intercede for us. At each stage of our growth we prayed together. We made a Novena to St Joseph just before we purchased our first building on South Main. We made a novena to St Gianna Molla as we began our Ultrasound program. Once again, as we begin our new Mobile Women’s Health Center program we are gathering to pray together. This time we are asking St Gerard, Patron of maternity to intercede for us with Our Lord. I am hoping that many of our supporters may wish to join us in this novena. Novena to St Gerard

Almighty and Eternal God, we thank you for the gift of St. Gerard and the example of his life. Because St. Gerard always had complete faith and trust in you, you blessed him with great powers of help and healing. Through him, you showed your loving concern for all those who suffered or were in need. You never failed to hear his prayer on their behalf. Today, through St. Gerard’s powerful intercession, you continue to show your love
for all those who place their trust in you. And so, Father, full of faith and confidence, and in thanksgiving for all the wonderful things you have done for us, we place ourselves before you today through the intercession of St. Gerard, hear our prayers and petitions, and if it is your holy will, grant them.

Amen.

 Life Choices has been blessed to be part of the Spring 40 Days for Life Campaign.  Hundreds of people form dozens of different Churches have come  to Phillipsburg to pray for an end to abortion.   No matter what the weather, prayerful people still came!   Awesome!  I have added a closing talk given by David Beriet and Shawn Carney.  conclusion_128.mp3
